Sometimes, I want to be a poet.
Sometimes, I want to be a guitarist.
Sometimes, I want to write songs
or paint paintings.
Sometimes, I travel the country alone.
Sometimes, a crow follows me from place to place.
Sometimes, I miss you people.

First off, I'd like to welcome TheyDontLikeItUpEm who sparked my enthusiasm a bit with his journal entry: theydontlikeitupem.deviantart.…

Long ago and far away, there was a literature community on deviantART. We were passionate, probably TOO passionate at times. We critiqued until the staff told us to desist, we had glorious wine-drunken conversations at 3am on dAmn, and we tried to turn everyone on to the idea of creativity, craft, writing and free artistry. We were from all over the globe, Switzerland, Israel, Portugal, Austrailia, Wales, Ireland, England, Canada, the US, South Africa, India and other places. Our critique, our thinking and our writing didn't have any boundaries, not separated by creed, race, color or religion, we allowed our diversity to be our strength. I know that there are many more of you out there, maybe just starting to write, maybe you're interested in a community. There are several dAmn chatrooms that are still accessible and were set up for the Lit Community. Come join them. Look for us. we're out there.

I've been allowed to have the task of creating some Interviews for Shadowness.com.
Its a real privilege, because I get to go behind the scenes of artists and artwork that I, myself, am curious about, and learn while I'm asking questions.  Some times, they really challenge my thoughts and my ways of looking at the world, and at other times, they give me solid inspiration to keep creating. I'd love to share these with all my watchers on Deviant Art as well.

Interview with Digital Artist Dario Adelaide
Dario was amazing...he's such a high-energy and dedicated young man.  I'm always interested to see his artworks here:

Interview with Traditional Artist Bernard Dumaine
For those of you who have seen Bernard Dumaine's Work, it is beyond labels and beyond comparison. You can check his work and purchase his books here:

Interview with Traditional Artist and Madwoman Catherine G.
Almost anyone who's ever been on dAmn has had the opportunity to experience cybergranny's awesome spark of wit and charm! She's one of the most fun, positive, funny people I've had the opportunity to know who is also an amazing artist!

Interview with Mad Scientist Renyn
Renyn is a character devised to create amazing works of art by an artist who decided not to reveal his identity. He's a true mixture of styles always beginning with traditional techniques and progressing to digital...a true Mad Scientist.

Interview with Vector Artist Vincent Aseo
Ive heard lots of flak about how Vector isn't art...well, to be straight, some is and some isnt. Its a great craft, and can be applied as such. Like any other art, it's practitioners have to go the extra mile to make it effective. Vincent is an incredibly humble, accessible and down-to-earth person, with an immense following of artists and fans alike.

Interview with Traditional Artist John Paul Thornton
JP Thornton Has achieved International acclaim for his "Guardian Angel Project" Featuring portraits of missing children. This interview inspired and motivated me, as well as helped me to understand the importance of doing something with a purpose. John is to be commended.  His work is exemplary in every sense. His recent book is for sale entitled  "Art and Courage: Stories to Inspire the Artist-Warrior Within"  definitely worth checking out.

Interview with Traditional Artist Katherine Chen
I'm sure that many of you know snowunmasked She's a very intelligent, warm and emotional person. Her knowledge of her work is very intense, anyone wishing to learn more about their medium could easily spend an hour in conversation with her, and definitely gain something. I know she's taught me a lot!

This is the most inspirational Interview I've had the chance to read. John Paul Thornton really put the hook in me to go out there and accomplish what I can with my art to the very best of my ability. Please stop in and read this awesome text that he generously provided to my questions!
